HEALTIX GUIDE

Your health.
Clear about where to start.

Healtix is one app for looking after yourself and your family. Start with the tests you already have. Make sense of the results, get a biological age estimate when the right markers are available, and move on to small actions every day.

How the sections connect

Tests help you collect and understand results. Health brings everyday metrics together. My plan helps you move to action. Coaches in the assistant explain your data and help with your goal. Automations send reminders or run a coach task on a schedule, and Family helps you track your loved ones separately.

STEP 01 / 11

Profile · before your first upload

First, your profile

The app needs context: whose tests these are, how old the person is and what matters to them.

  1. Sign in to Healtix and open Profile. Check your name, date of birth and sex. The date of birth is needed to calculate biological age.
  2. Fill in the information you have about yourself: height, weight, health conditions. It is better to leave unknown details blank than to guess.
  3. Set one task for the first day: “I want to understand my latest test”, “I want to know my biological age” or “I want to build my mother’s history”.
  4. Before uploading, make sure the right person is selected. For a relative’s tests, first create their profile in the Family section.

You can move on once your profile shows the correct date of birth and it is clear whose documents you are going to upload.

STEP 02 / 11

Tests · PDF, photo or camera

Upload what you have already tested

Start with one document you understand. You do not need to find a specific lab or redo all your tests to get to know the app.

  1. Find the result in your email, the lab’s patient portal, the Files folder or your gallery. If you have the original PDF, use it: it keeps all the pages and the small print.
  2. Open Tests and add a document. Choose a PDF, a photo from the gallery or a camera scan. A file from another app can also be shared via “Share → Healtix” if Healtix appears in the list.
  3. Check that the marker names, values, units, the lab’s reference ranges and the collection date are visible. When photographing, lay the form flat, remove glare and do not cut off the edges of the table.
  4. Confirm the upload and wait for processing. Then open the result and compare it with the form: the person, the collection date, the numbers and the units must match.
  5. Add the remaining documents. Start with the most recent results, then fill in your history with older ones. Keep the real collection date for every form.

Storage and interpretation are different tasks. Storage keeps your documents at hand. To read the explanations and use the markers, make sure the document has been processed and opened as a test result.

You can move on once the first document is processed and its date, owner and recognised values have been checked.

STEP 03 / 11

Tests → your document · Assistant · Check-ups

Understand the result and the next step

Read the result in order: first the original values, then the explanation, and only after that the possible actions.

  1. Open the processed test. Look at which markers are highlighted and read the explanation. If a value looks unexpected, compare the line with the original first.
  2. Recall the context of the test: the date, how you felt, known conditions and any medicines you take. Mention this when you discuss the result.
  3. Tap Ask in chat if you need help with a specific test. Ask for a short explanation and questions to take to your doctor.
  4. For a broader assessment, open Tests → Check-ups, choose a relevant topic and answer the questions. A check-up in the app is an assessment based on your data and answers; laboratory testing happens separately.

A highlighted marker on its own does not establish a diagnosis. Discuss prescriptions, stopping medicines and the need for further tests with your doctor; the explanation in the app helps you prepare for that conversation.

You can move on once you can say in your own words what you saw in the result and which question or action comes next.

STEP 04 / 11

Tests → Biological age → PhenoAge guide

Get your first biological age estimate

PhenoAge is a calculated estimate based on nine blood markers and your calendar age. Once suitable data has been processed and your profile has a date of birth, the app can show a result automatically.

  1. Open the biological age card in Tests. Use the PhenoAge guide to see which markers are needed.
  2. Compare the list below with your forms. Nine markers are nine result rows, not necessarily nine separate lab orders.
  3. If markers are missing, check your other saved documents. If you have no suitable results, discuss the required panel with your doctor, and the order and preparation with the lab.
  4. Once you have the results, upload legible forms with units and the collection date. Return to the card after processing. If the number does not appear, use the check at the end of the guide.

Check your form

Found 0 of 9

Tick the markers that are in your results. This is a checklist: the ticks do not upload tests to Healtix and are cleared when the page is refreshed.

Chemistry and the inflammation marker
Complete blood count markers

If something is missing, check the other pages and other forms first. You can discuss the list of missing markers with your doctor or the lab.

How to read the number that appears

It is an estimate from a model, not the exact age of every organ or a life-expectancy forecast. A lower number does not guarantee the absence of disease, and a higher one is not a diagnosis in itself.

Look at the date next to the estimate and the dates of the original tests. The app may use the most recent available values of different markers from your history: the number does not mean all nine were measured today. For a meaningful comparison, discuss a comparable panel and the timing of repeat testing with your doctor.

Tracking change requires repeated suitable results. A DNA test and watch data are not part of this calculation. PhenoAge is not calculated for children in the app.

About the method: the PhenoAge study, PLOS Medicine ↗

You can move on once you can see an estimate with its date, or you know exactly which data is still missing for it.

STEP 05 / 11

Tests · genetic documents

Add a DNA test if you have one

A DNA test you had done earlier can be added to your health history. If you do not have one, keep working with your tests and your plan: you do not need to buy a test to get started.

  1. Open the genetic lab’s patient portal or your saved files. Work out what you have: a finished report as a PDF or the raw genetic data.
  2. Upload the finished PDF as a document in Tests. For raw data, VCF and VCF.gz are supported. An arbitrary TXT or ZIP does not become VCF when renamed; ask the lab for a suitable format.
  3. Check the selected person and wait for processing. Read which information could be extracted. VCF processing covers a supported panel of variants, not every line of the genome.
  4. Discuss the report with the assistant, and clinically significant findings with a specialist. A genetic result complements your current tests; it is not substituted for blood markers in PhenoAge.

You can move on once the genetic document belongs to the right person and you understand which part of the data was processed.

STEP 06 / 11

Assistant → Chats → New → New agent

Choose a coach, or create your own

A coach is your AI helper with a defined role. In the interface these helpers are called agents. You can discuss results with them, work through nutrition and recovery, and then assign tasks on a schedule.

Your first step: take a ready-made agent

  1. Open the assistant and the Chats list. Tap the create button New → New agent.
  2. Choose a card in the Catalog. For your first read of a test, “Lab agent” fits well. One helper is enough to start.
  3. Check the name and, if you like, choose the avatar colour and shape. Tap Create and start the conversation.
  4. Give a specific task: what to review, over what period and in what form you want the answer. If the question is about a relative, state clearly whose data you are discussing and check which documents the agent refers to.
  5. Read the answer and refine it: “Explain it more simply”, “Show where this comes from”, “Draft three questions for my doctor”. If data is missing, ask it to list what is needed.

Lab agent

Helps you read tests and compare markers.

“Compare my two latest tests. Give the dates, what changed and what to ask my doctor.”

Nutritionist

Helps you work through your food log.

“Look at my diary for the last three days. What do the entries show, and what is missing to draw a conclusion?”

Recovery

Helps you make sense of sleep and activity data.

“Look at my available sleep records for the week. Is there any change? If there is too little data, say so.”

A coach of your own for any task

You can invent a role for the helper: “Calm evening”, “Preparing for an appointment”, “My habits”. A name and a description in plain words are enough. The description sets the style and the task, but it does not connect new data sources or capabilities.

  1. Open New → New agent. For your own agent, do not choose a catalog card: type a name in the “Agent name” field, choose the design and tap “Create”.
  2. In the chat that opens, tap the agent’s name at the top. Agent settings will open.
  3. Fill in the Persona field: what to help with, which circumstances to consider, how to answer and what to do when data is missing. Tap “Save”.
  4. Send a test question. If the answer is too long or too generic, refine the role description in the settings. You can adjust a ready-made agent from the catalog the same way.

Role and schedule are set up separately. The phrase “message me every evening” in the persona description does not yet create a routine. For a timed message, use automations and check that the schedule has been saved.

When you need a team of coaches

If a task spans several topics, create a room: New → New room. You need at least two created agents. Name the room, choose the participants and the “Who replies” rule.

In Everyone replies mode the question is addressed to the team. In Only @mentions mode, select the participant you want with @. You can also assign a specific agent to reply.

Example: a room with “Nutritionist” and “Recovery” to discuss your food and sleep log. Start with a specific question and ask them to rely on your available records. A room is a chat with AI helpers; it does not add relatives and does not replace family profiles.

You can move on once you have one coach, a clear role and your first useful answer. You do not need to create the whole team at once.

STEP 07 / 11

My plan → Manage · Tracking and goals

Move from information to your plan

Now you have a starting point. “My plan” gathers the actions and records for the day: the habits you have chosen, the markers you track and the doses of the medicines you have added.

  1. Open My plan and look at the selected date. Read what is suggested and what the action is connected to.
  2. Through Manage, set up trackers and goals. Start with one or two items you really need: for example, logging how you feel and tracking water.
  3. Set suitable goals and a schedule. Discuss recommendations about tests and treatment with your doctor first. You can change a chosen habit if it does not suit you.
  4. Tap a card in the plan to record a value or open the relevant section. For example, water opens the intake log, how you feel opens the scale, a medicine opens the scheduled doses.
  5. Tick off what you have done. A daily action belongs to the selected day, while a one-off action belongs to a specific task. Come back to the current list the next day.

You can move on once your plan has a small, clear set of actions and you know how to make the first entry.

STEP 08 / 11

Health · Nutrition · Medicines · Profile → Integrations

Connect what helps you every day

Choose the features that match your task. Connecting a watch and keeping a daily food diary are not required for working with your tests.

Nutrition: start with one meal

Open “Nutrition” through “Health”. Add a dish in any available way: a photo, a description or a search. Check the recognised foods and the portion, then save the entry. A photo-based estimate can be wrong, so verify the ingredients and the amount.

Example: you photographed lunch → checked that the sauce and the side were included → adjusted the portion → saved. A diary is more useful when the entries match what you actually ate.

Medicines: bring over an existing prescription

Open “Medicines” through “Health”. Add the medicine, dosage, time and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Check the schedule and allow notifications if you want reminders. Tick a dose after you have taken the medicine.

Example: your doctor prescribed a course → you entered the exact prescription → checked the next dose in the plan → you tick doses off. A test result on its own is no reason to add a medicine or change a dose.

Watches and rings: add data about your daily life

In “Profile → Integrations”, connect Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android and allow the categories you need. The device has to send data there through its own app. There is also a separate integration for Oura.

After syncing, check the available metrics under “Health”: for example, steps, sleep or heart rate. What you get depends on the device and the permissions. Without a watch, you can still use your tests, your plan and manual entries.

Example: sleep was recorded in the watch app → it appeared in Apple Health → Healtix received access → the record appeared in “Health”.

How you feel and measurements: add context

Turn on the trackers you need: weight, blood pressure, how you feel or other available metrics. Record them through the plan cards. If a measurement was missed, do not fill it in with an invented value.

You can move on once you have connected the source you need or made your first entry, and you know where to look for it later.

STEP 09 / 11

My plan → Today → bell → Automations

Let the right things happen on a schedule

A routine is a task that starts at a chosen time. In Healtix, routines and reminders live in “Automations”. Start with one: for example, a weekly summary from your coach or a reminder to log how you feel.

Remind you

The automation sends a reminder about a chosen plan action or tracker entry. You do the action itself and tick it off.

Example: at 20:30, remind me to log how I feel if there is no entry yet today.

Assign to a coach

The agent performs a task on a schedule and writes the result to the chat. In the form this is a “Free task”.

Example: every Sunday at 19:00, summarise my food log for the past week.

The simplest path is to ask in the chat

  1. Open a chat with the coach you need. Describe what to do, when and how often. State your time zone, especially if you travel.
  2. Ask it specifically to create a routine or a reminder. Clarify the time, days and content if the agent asks questions.
  3. Wait for the creation to be confirmed. Then open My plan → Today → bell and check that the automation has appeared and is on. A promise in a message is not enough.
  4. At the appointed time, look for the task result in the chat with the agent. For phone notifications, allow them for Healtix; the agent also has a notification switch in its settings.

Or set up the automation manually

  1. In the Automations section, tap Add automation.
  2. In the For what field, choose an existing plan action or a tracker. If you need the agent to do separate work, choose Free task and fill in “Agent task”. To assign it to a specific coach in a specific chat, it is easier to create the routine from that chat.
  3. Enter a clear name. Set the time in HH:MM format and the days of the week, for example weekdays or Sunday only. The mobile form creates a repeating schedule; ask for a one-off task on a specific date through the chat.
  4. For a reminder, check the Do not remind if completed option. With it on, the reminder may be skipped when the action is already ticked or the day’s tracker entry has already been made.
  5. Tap Create. Check the name, schedule and switch in the list. If the tracker or action you need is not available, set it up in the plan first.

The manual form does not yet have a separate time-zone picker. If the exact local time matters, create the task through the chat, state the city or time zone and ask the coach to confirm the date and time of the next run. After a trip, check the schedule again.

How to change or stop it

The switch in the list pauses the automation and turns it back on. The gear opens the settings: change the task or the repeating schedule and save. “Run now” lets you test execution, and “Delete” removes an automation you no longer need. A one-off task turns off after it fires.

For medicines, create a course first. A reminder is tied to an existing plan action. Do not create a separate free task that repeats the same medicine schedule: it is then easy to get confused between the course and the messages.

The plan owns the action; the automation owns reaching out to you. Moving the message time does not by itself change a medicine prescription or a test deadline. Change those in the relevant section.

You can move on once one automation you need is visible in the list, its time and days are checked, and you know where to expect the result and how to pause it.

STEP 10 / 11

Family · family profiles

Each loved one gets their own history

You can use Healtix for yourself or for your family. The main rule: every person has their own documents, date of birth and results.

  1. Open Family and add a profile for your relative. Enter their name, date of birth and the other details you have.
  2. Select this profile before uploading documents. After processing, check that the test belongs to them and that the collection date is right.
  3. When you open results or biological age, check the selected person. Assessing one person requires only their own markers.
  4. If your relative needs their own login, open the settings of their family profile and the available Premium access setting. See the terms and availability in your own account.

You can move on once every person you have added has their own profile and their documents are attached correctly.

STEP 11 / 11

My plan · Health · Tests

Keep coming back to actions and changes

After the first setup, the main habit is simple: open the plan, make the entries you need and now and then look at what has changed.

Every day

Open “My plan”. Look at today’s actions, enter the values you need and tick off what you have done.

Once a week

Look at your records and trends in the available sections. Remove trackers you do not need, refine your goals and collect the questions that have built up.

After new tests

Upload the result, check the date and compare it with the previous one. Open the biological age trend if there is enough data.

Choose how often to repeat tests with your doctor. To assess change, keep the original forms and pay attention to the dates, units and testing conditions. A change in the calculated estimate does not by itself prove the effect of a single habit.

You can move on once you have a comfortable rhythm of use: what to tick off today and what to return to after new data.

HELP ALONG THE WAY

If something is not clear

Do I need to turn on all the features at once?

No. For a first look, your own profile and one test are enough. Then look at the result and choose your next step. Connect nutrition, devices, medicines and family profiles when they solve your task.

Will older tests from another lab work?

Yes, start with a saved PDF or a legible photo. Check the collection date, the name, the values and the units. Older results are useful for history, but they describe your state at the time of testing. To assess your current situation, discuss with your doctor what is worth updating.

Why did the biological age not appear?

Check the date of birth, the selected person, that processing has finished and that all nine blood markers are present. Lymphocytes as a percentage versus an absolute count, and RDW-CV versus RDW-SD, are especially often confused. Unsuitable or unrecognised values can also prevent the calculation. If everything is there, compare the recognised rows with the original and contact support.

Can I get PhenoAge from DNA or a watch?

In Healtix this estimate is calculated from blood markers and calendar age. A DNA file, sleep, heart rate and steps add to the picture of your health, but they do not replace the nine markers needed for PhenoAge.

Why did loading the plan not add more to each day?

Not every recommendation becomes a daily action. A repeat test belongs to its own due date, and habits depend on the goals you have chosen. Open “My plan” and “Manage”: check the trackers, goals and schedule that are turned on.

Are a coach, an agent and an assistant different people?

They are AI helpers inside Healtix, not human specialists. The assistant is the entry point to the chats, and an agent is a specific helper with a name and a role. A coach can be an agent that helps with your goal. You can choose a ready-made one or create your own; a name and a description do not give it a doctor’s qualification.

I created an agent. Why does it not message me every morning?

Creating an agent and describing its role do not set a schedule. Ask it to create a routine with a task, a time and days of the week. Wait for confirmation and check the entry in “My plan → Today → bell → Automations”.

I asked for a reminder but there is no notification. What should I check?

Open “Automations”: is there an entry, is it on, are the days and time right? For an agent task, also check its chat and notification setting. Make sure Healtix is allowed to send notifications in your phone settings. A reminder with the “Do not remind if completed” option may not arrive if the action is already ticked or the tracker value has been entered. A one-off task turns off after it fires.

My watch has data, but the app is empty. What should I do?

Check whether records have appeared in Apple Health or Health Connect, then check Healtix’s access to the data you need in “Profile → Integrations”. For a direct integration, check the connection status. Come back to Healtix and refresh the screen. Missing data does not mean zero activity.

Can I track a child or my parents?

For each relative, create a separate family profile and enter their date of birth. Check who a document belongs to. The available features depend on age and the data you have: the PhenoAge calculation in the app is meant for adults and will not appear for a child.

What should I do if I uploaded a test to the wrong person?

Open the document, check the profile it points to and change the person it is linked to. Then return to the results of the right profile. Do not fix this mistake by replacing your own date of birth with a relative’s.

Did not find an answer? Contact Healtix support. Say which step you are on and what the app shows.

Start with one test.
